Spruce Drive Closure 
A section of Spruce Drive is closed until further notice to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic between Heartwood Drive and Laurel Lane due to washout from Hurricane Irene.  Anyone caught trespassing will be fined in accordance with the BLCA Rules and Regulations: Section 98 –20–22: Trespassing. The fine for violation of Section 98-20-22 shall be $200.00, and/or charges may be filed with the appropriate District Justice for trespassing.

Removal of Unregistered Boats
Per a prior notice, as of August 1, 2011 unregistered boats have been removed from the common areas and placed in the parking area near the BLCA office.
If your boat was removed, please visit the BLCA office to obtain the necessary boat registration stickers.

And remember, a Pennsylvania fishing license is required for anyone over 16 to fish in Birchwood.

Well Water Assistance Program
If you have problems with your household water well system there is an assistance program that may provide information and financial help to make repairs or upgrades.

The Pocono Northeast RC&D Council has a Household Water Well Assistance Program which will be able to provide assistance to homeowners residing within the Council area.  The program is designed to provide education and outreach, technical assistance, and financial assistance to low to moderate income households in rural areas that have a documented problem with their household water well.  Visit their web site at http://www.pnesolutions.org/products.html .
